We can support you for just a short time (if you are recovering from a hospital discharge) or on a more permanent basis.
What is Crossroads Live-in care?
Live-in care is just that, one trained care worker living with you in your home and meeting all your care needs including personal care, light housework and shopping, as well as any medical or social trips out of the home. We want to enable you to live your best life. Your live-in care worker will be around in the house for you to call on every day and at night in emergency. This can give you quite a bit of flexibility and reassurance. It also means all your care will be provided by just one or two care workers.

We are a partner of the national care charity Carers Trust, so we understand getting the right care is a whole family concern.
Quality Care Guarantee – We are registered and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the regulator for health and social care in England. Our service is guaranteed safe, caring, effective, responsive and well-led.
Fully Managed Service – Our service is fully managed, which means you will have support from a local team on hand in all eventualities 24×7. When emergencies arise we will be there to help. If a care worker is unwell a replacement will be found.
Experienced Care Workers who Get to Know you Well – Our rigorously vetted, dedicated team all have previous care experience and comprehensive training. They live with you (in a spare room) on a regular basis for weeks at a time so you get to know each other well.

The Process
If you think live-in care may be the right fit for you or your family, please contact us. We will then arrange a free home visit at a convenient time for you. Together we can create a bespoke care plan that suits your individual needs.
Don’t worry, you can speak to your named care manager to tweak things if it doesn’t suit you perfectly straight away. They are always here to listen to you if you have any change in care needs, issues or concerns. Prices do vary according to needs but as a rule it is cost effective if you need more than 6 hours of care a day.
Live-in staff skills
All our staff are handpicked for their caring disposition, but our live-in staff are special as they may be your only care worker and therefore responsible for your total wellbeing. After going through our vigorous recruitment checks (including an enhanced Data and Barring Service check), we make sure they are trained and skilled in all aspects of care. For example, maintaining privacy and dignity when delivering care and ensuring people with care needs are always treated with respect. You can see the basic training they go through here. If your needs are more complex, we can provide further skills training as necessary.
