Charity Trustees

Our Trustees volunteer their time to provide advice and guidance on the strategic direction of the charity. Their relevant knowledge and expertise in health, social care, finance, communications and charity management have helped Crossroads Care Oxfordshire develop and grow our caring services for local communities.

Jan Evans, Chair of Trustees

Jan became a trustee of Crossroads in 2014 and chair three years later. Her professional career was in adult social care, commencing as a social worker then different management roles until she became Head of Service. A post she held until her retirement in 2013, two of her management roles were working in both the NHS and Local Authority acknowledging the close operational links that exist supporting those living with disability and their families.

Jim Bradshaw, Honorary Treasurer and Trustee

Jim is a retired Chartered Public Finance Accountant. He has worked for several organisations including Lancashire County Council and Oxfordshire County Council but the significant part of his career has been as Deputy Vice Chancellor with Oxford Brookes and Sunderland Universities where he was responsible for a wide range of support services including property, marketing and student recruitment, human resources, libraries and computer services, international relations and financial management.

Charles Fox, Trustee

Charlie has been a Crossroads Trustee since 2024. Charlie has over 20 years’ healthcare experience with director roles, including a global medical device company and prior to that, senior sales and marketing roles at the leading imaging services provider in Europe at the time. Prior to his healthcare experience, he worked for major media and fast-moving consumer goods brands, where he learned and tuned his commercial skills.

Rob Hallett, Trustee

Rob has been a Crossroads Trustee since 2021. He’s a career logistician with experience in third party logistics, defence, healthcare and FMCG. His current day job is Director Global Procurement for a major international toy company, procuring and managing logistics outsourcing arrangements across a couple of continents.

Joanne McMeekin, Trustee

Joanne joined Crossroads as a Trustee in 2025, bringing over 25 years of HR expertise, with the last 10 years spent in Healthcare, in a senior role supporting with multiple restructures and transformation. Having started her own HR consultancy, Joanne is hoping to support the charity through their vision, growth and people strategy.

Melanie Proudfoot, Trustee

Melanie has been a Trustee for Crossroads since 2017. She has a background in healthcare communications and has worked for more than 20 years as a senior manager in the NHS, with a current focus on communications and stakeholder engagement for clinical improvement programmes.  Melanie has also worked in PR, marketing and communications roles in cancer research and in local government. Prior to this she worked for 17 years as a newspaper journalist.
